If you are trying to sell your property it may be that you are looking to carry out improvements that will increase the chances of a sale without costing a lot of money. One of the projects that many people look at carrying out is updating the bathroom.

Most modern bathrooms have white fixtures and fittings, but some older properties may have coloured bathroom suites. If it is possible to replace the suite with a white one this, straightaway makes the bathroom more appealing to potential buyers. A white suite comprising of toilet, wash basin and bath can be purchased quite cheaply from most DIY stores as is certainly worth considering if finances allow.

Tiling is an expensive part of any bathroom renovation, but it is possible to buy paint that will cover patterned tiles if this is something that needs doing and is much cheaper than retiling but often regrouting is enough to freshen up the appearance of the bathroom.

It may be worth changing the bathroom flooring especially if it is highly patterned lino or laminate as this is an inexpensive way to update the look of a room and can easily be attempted by the homeowner. Replacing old patterned roller blinds with modern plain coloured vertical ones can also add to the overall uncluttered appearance of the bathroom when potential buyers view the property.
