Making the most of a small bedroom

If you have a bedroom in your house that is quite small then you need to think carefully about how you are going to furnish it in order to maximise the space you have available. Firstly consider the must haves – what do you need to have in the room? It may be that it is going to be used as a fully functioning bedroom in which case you will need a bed and storage space for clothes as a minimum. The best way to fit all of this in is often by having fully fitted furniture installed. This can be a little more expensive than buying stand-alone wardrobes and chest of drawers but ultimately means you can fit it all in without looking too cluttered.

Bespoke fitted furniture will give the appearance of a bigger room and the choices of designs and finishes are endless. You can install over the bed cupboards to put items of clothing that you rarely wear or towels and bedding. Sliding door wardrobes take us less space and can even be installed in sloped roof spaces, meaning no space is wasted.

Most good fitted bedroom companies will come out and give you an idea of what you can have and a quote for the work before you have to commit to anything, so there really is no reason not to look in to it.
